IBA Camps are offered several time throughout the year:

Indiana Basketball Academy (IBA) Camp Structure
For 14 years kids have loved coming to Indiana Basketball Academy (IBA) for basketball Camp! Camps are offered to boys and girls ages 4-14. Kids of all ability levels are welcomed and spend time daily with owner Tom Abernethy. The cornerstone of Indiana Basketball Academy (IBA) camp is the effort Tom and his coaches put into making each child feel welcomed and at "home." Everyone will receive fundamental instruction such as shooting form, layups, ballhandling, passing, and defensive positioning. For the more experienced players, Andrew White heads up a more intense collection of workout drills. However, all groups will spend ample time on fundamental skill training, and they will participate in 2 full court games each day of camp.

What to Expect at Each IBA Camp

Camps for 4-6 year olds (Little Hoopers)
Every camp on the schedule is offered to to this age group. IBA has been the first place that young players are exposed to the game. The Summer camps are set up for kids to be placed with other kids their age to be nurtured and have fun learning the game. Get some friends and come let them enjoy a week of camp together. The camp for 4-6 year olds is structured to allow short breaks/change of routine to help keep them focused. Fundamentals are stressed and 5-on-5 games are introduced.

Camps for ages 7 and up
These groups will be broken down by age and ability. Fundamental instruction and skill training is provided every day. Each day a different skill is introduced by former NBA player Tom Abernethy. The remainder of the day IBA coaches are stressing that particular fundamental. Also, each day participants will do Factory drills/station work in their respective groups. The second half of each day Groups will play 5-on-5 games amongst their groups. At least 2 full court games are built into the schedule every day.

Advanced players
Older and more advanced players will be placed with Coach Andrew White, and will be lead through a series of intensive training drills. They will spend the majority of camp working on fundamentals such as 2 ball handling, one-on-one moves, playing out of the triple threat, jump shots, and much more. They will also play 2 competitive games every day and have a weekly best of 7 series.
