A TRADITION SINCE 1996
The Indiana Basketball Academy hosts camps throughout the year when kids are out of school! We are privileged to have been encouraging & leading kids in the Carmel & surrounding areas for over 2 decades! We teach basketball fundamentals, through drills - skills - and plenty of real game action in our 3v3 or 5v5 full-court games in a fun-filled & safe environment! Boys and girls of all ability and experience levels are welcome to join the fun! Invite your friends to join!
All Camps will adhere to the most current COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines from the State and CDC.
WHO GOES TO CAMP?
These camps are designed for boys & girls ages 5-15 years old who want to have fun and improve! All experience levels welcome! Camps are perfect for working parents needing a less expensive, more active daycare option for their kids!
WHEN ARE CAMPS?
Summer Camps - Weekly during the Summer Months at the IBA and during select weeks at other locations.
Other School Breaks (Black Friday, MLK Day, President's Day, & Weather Related School Closing Days)
Full Day Camps are 9:00am - 4:00pm for the week or Half Days are 9:00am - 12:00 or 1:00pm - 4:00pm for the week. Early drop off at 8:00am available for working parents. Select Camps are held at the IBA and other locations during select weeks in the summer.
Kids will be split up into groups based on age and skill level. Each day, their group will work on fundamentals through skills, drills, and play lots of full court games, as well as smaller group tournaments. Friday's are Championship Day - with extra contests and games! A true staple of IBA Camps is when Coach Abernethy shares some of the many impactful stories from his life, IU & NBA basketball career along.
WHAT TO BRING
It is always a great idea to pack a water bottle (or 2), we will have plenty of water breaks throughout the day. Snacks are also a great idea to pack, especially for campers staying for a full day. For Full-Day campers, lunches can be packed or we offer a lunch option for an additional cost each day. Concession snacks and drinks are also sold throughout each camp day at an additional cost as well. You do not need to bring your own basketball, we have plenty. All valuable items should be left safe at home. Come dressed to play basketball and ready to have fun!
If your camper has any severe allergy or emergency medication to be kept on site during camp, please bring this form along with you to camp to be kept with any medication clearly marked with their information, to be kept securely in the office. Our full time staff members have CPR certification in administering emergency medications.
